Justin York

Justin Daniel York (born November 26, 1982 in Grantsburg, WI) is the brother of guitarist Taylor York of Paramore[1] and was the guitarist of Christian rock band Tait. He joined the band in 2001 when he was barely 19 years old, replacing Pete Stewart. He subsequently left the band in 2006. In early 2007 he co-produced a rock album for the band Over Ashes, due for release in July. When York was five years old, he and his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he grew up in a very Christian and musically gifted family. It was his father, Peter York (a music executive at Sparrow Records), himself a skilled guitarist, who taught his son the instrument.

When he was a teen, York got his first major chance to play guitar professionally when Phil Joel (of the Newsboys) invited him to work on his solo album. He has had numerous opportunities since then, playing for Paul Alan, Sammy Ward, Steven Curtis Chapman, Joy Williams, and Rebecca St James.

York just finished co-producing new American Christian Rock band Over Ashes with production partner Justin Glasco.

York also has a side-project called Cecil Adora, that he is involved in with Ryan Clark, and Van Beasley. As of June 2008 they are on hiatus.

In February 2010, York filled in for Josh Farro on Paramore's oceanic tour.

Recently he played guitar for the band Relient K when they were supporting Paramore on their Australian Tour.

On December 30, 2010, it was revealed that York will replace Josh Farro on Paramore's South American Tour in 2011.
